Bio:

In an era of rising litigation expenses, clients need and deserve seasoned advice and wise counsel. I aim to achieve top results cost-effectively. Each case is unique, some more than others, but each case deserves and gets my best efforts.
– Bruce E. McLeod

Bruce practices complex civil litigation with a focus on business disputes, wills and estates, defamation and securities litigation.

Bruce’s wide experience in litigation includes, among others, cases in breach of contract, shareholder remedies, Wills Variation Act matters, real property disputes, professional liability, executive dismissal, director and officer liability, defamation, fraud, conspiracy, fiduciary duty, passing off, tracing, malicious prosecution, Anton Piller orders and Mareva injunctions.

Before law, Bruce skied, cycled through Europe and Central America, studied political theory, and worked a short stint in Ottawa. After shelving bike, skis, and unrealistic dreams of a music career he went to law school.

After Bruce articled and stayed on as an associate with Western Canada’s largest law firm at the time, he joined a top-tier Vancouver litigation boutique. He had the good fortune to apprentice with some of the best lawyers in Vancouver.

In 1994, sensing an opportunity to make less money at greater risk, Bruce opened a sole practice as litigation counsel. In 2015, after 21 years of successful sole practice, Bruce teamed up with Alan Ross as McLeod Ross Litigation Lawyers.

In his spare time Bruce still skis, bikes, makes music, and meddles in politics.

Bruce welcomes challenging cases that require creativity and tenacity to achieve superior results.
